The Case against Bitcoin

Will blockchain be enduring? – of course. Will Bitcoin be enduring? - not likely.Unless you are familiar with the terminology of blockchain, having an argument about its future is like arguing with a physicist about the Big Bang. Right now the myopia caused by ignorance centres the crpyto discussion on Bitcoin, store of value and speculative demand. The real delivery of money, the medium of exchange and the unit of account that blockchain brings to anything from IOT to AI is still vastly…See More

TurboCASH Calendar

I go this query from  vdibossGreetingsI am trying to use your software to record customers that come to our office for repairs of cellphones computers etc. The part I am interested in the most, (in addition to the accounting feature,) is the Appointment (since it closely resembles the features I need), when a customer walks in I record the day and time they came in and what they dropped off and whatever the issue we need to resolve. When we call them to update them of prices or any…See More

SASSA, SAPO, TurboCASH and Blockchain

Am I the only one that feels offended that in order to implement a Social Grants System to the poorest of South African citizens, the first thing we must to is include a cut for neo colonial offshore software companies? The SASSA Grants (soon to be R 200 Bn to 20 Million recipients) is an ideal solution for distributed accounting and blockchain. Instead we keep looking at centralised solutions that have the ugly component of off shore software licences embedded into their solutions.…See More

Open source software and economic inequality

Posted on May 4, 2017 at 14:00 1 Comment

Open source software offers Governments the opportunities to build the knowledge economy and built it inclusively.

The World Economic Forum roadshow is back in town again. Economic experts on sponsored trips with generous expense accounts check into the beach front hotels amid fan fair and flashing cameras. They are offering us more advice than President Trump gets. Exotic terms like “inclusi…

Hi Philip,

sorry for the late reply - I'm not sure what you mean about "download line", but I had to click on the previous version to get the "correct exe" file.

However, I'm confused as to how to achieve what I need with TurboCash, I'm looking for accounting software where I can simply add figures in a spreadsheet manner (like Excel), for cash flow, P&L, etc.

What are the first steps to doing this? I've double-clicked FlameRobin, which came with TurboCash, it just opens a database admin window, I also have the TC conversion window open "TC 3 to this version", about selecting folders and scanning for books.

This is all very confusing for me, as I just need something simple but more appropriate than Excel.

Thanks,

Win'
